Kawula Muda, Lil Nas X dan Doja Cat mendapatkan enam nominasi di MTV EMA 2021.
MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2021 bakal kembali digelar untuk tahun ini. MTV EMA 2021 rencananya akan berlangsung pada 14 November 2021 di Papp Laszlo Budapest Sportarena, Hungaria.
Berdasarkan laporan Billboard pada Rabu (20/10/2021), Justin Bieber memimpin perolehan nominasi dengan mendapatkan 8 nominasi.
Bahkan Bieber mendapatkan dua nominasi untuk satu kategori yaitu Best Song berkat dua lagu hitsnya Peaches dan Stay.
Peaches merupakan hasil kolaborasinya dengan Daniel Caesar dan Giveon, sedangkan Stay adalah lagu kerja samanya dengan The Kid LAROI.
Kategori Best Song pernah dimenangi Justin Bieber pada gelaran MTV EMA 5 tahun lalu, berkat lagunya yang berjudul Sorry.
Selain kategori Best Song, di MTV EMA 2021, Bieber juga menjadi nominator di kategori Best Artist, Best Video, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, dan Biggest Fans.
Sementara itu, musisi Dojat Cat dan Lil Nas X sama-sama memperoleh enam nominasi dalam ajang tersebut.
Di kategori Best K-Pop, BTS harus bersaing dengan Monsta X, NCT 127, TWICE, dan dua member BLACKPINK yaitu Lisa dan Rose.
